Livingstone rolls past Elizabeth City State for another win

Livingstone got hot and rolled right past Elizabeth City State in Salisbury on Saturday afternoon.

One week after handling business as underdogs in Atlanta, Livingstone College lived up to its billing as the favorite against Elizabeth City State at home.

Livingstone got touchdowns through the air, on the ground and on defense on Saturday to come away with a 27-16 win on Saturday afternoon. The win marks the first time since 2015 LC has started the season 2-0.

Miles Hayes finished 15-for-25 passing for the Blue Bears, including a 54 yard touchdown to Jaylen Askew that started a string of 27 unanswered points. Other points came courtesy of two field goals by Antoine Akunda as well as a Ziah Gibson fumble recovery and a one-yard Marquise Adams run to cap the scoring.

ECSU reeled off 10 points in the final 6:16 of the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to overcome the hole it was already in.
