Despite winning the SWAC West title last year, Grambling was picked to finish second in the division behind Prairie View. At the start of their yearly State Fair Classic matchup in Dallas, that prediction looked pretty good.
But Grambling came back from an early double-digit deficit to come away with a resounding 36-16 win over Prairie View, giving it a 3-1 record and a leg up against their Texas counterparts.
