Watch: NC A&T sweeps North Carolina Central

North Carolina A&T State University finished its regular season on a high-note, defeating rival North Carolina Central University Department of Athletics on senior night to sweep NCCU for the first time since becoming a Division I program.
It was one for the books.

Central lost a lot of veteran talent to graduation and it showed on the court this year. A&T is a below average basketball team and there is no way they should have beaten the Eagles twice. Let us all hope Hampton wins the MEAC tournament. I really want the MEAC and the SWAC to send their best regular season teams to the Big Dance. It would be great if Tennessee State made the tournament too…that would put three HBCUs in the Tourney.

I was impressed with how hard Hampton played in last year NCAA tournament–they represented themselves well against great odds. Also historically no other small school conference have been more impressive than the HBCU's in the big tournaments.
